Visitors, audience, links and, in the near future, widgets to show random videos on your blog that were blogged by yourself (upcoming feature, not available yet)! You have everything to win and nothing to lose!
[edit] How does the system work?
We have three main concepts within BloggedVideos.com:
- a module that collects statistics on videos, determines the most important ones and defines the most relevant post to that video (normally based on age);
- the second is having the system working in a threaded manner, like a forum, in order to support meme-like posts and to relate videos by subject. Bloggers love to start memes on common subjects, but a reader often fails to find relevant information from other blogs in that particular meme just by following links. That happens because memes tend to be linking games, aimed at partner bloggers, not the reader themselves. However, a good meme is normally done on a relevant subject and a successful meme involving videos brings many good, related videos, that wouldn't be related to each other by any other automated method. That's why we've created this system. Have fun! Starting a thread is very easy, you can do that by just blogging two different videos inside a post or by inviting a partner blogger to use exactly the same title.
- the third is having a TV-like system where users can watch random videos as if they were individual "shows" offered by the many blogs featured here. The tags we collect from these blogs are the "channels". The system will always offer blog posts related to those channels as well, in order to provide a better user experience. This is the ideal construction for those users who just want to watch good videos without the need to search for them.
[edit] Q: Why do you use exactly the videos within a blog post, with their titles and tags?
That was the best way we found to make videos relate to each other and to give them a context in each language.
[edit] Q: What about videos that were removed from the video sharing sites?
We are always checking to see if videos were removed. If one specific video has been removed we automatically remove it from the system as well while reconstructing all the threads related to it. If the thread gets down to no other videos, or to a combination of just that one video and one blog with that title, the whole thread will be considered invalid and removed from the system.
[edit] Q: What are the requirements for me to join the system?
First, you need to have a quality blog, with at least some tens of quality posts, including pictures and videos. Your blog cannot contain pornography, gambling, hate speech nor any other type of illegal content. The subject or language of your blog doesn't really matter, as long as you blog about quality videos and have a quality blog. At BloggedVideos.com, we are committed to the principle of having, as much as possible, only good blogs in our database and that, in return, will make for a much better user experience. Blogs that we would actually recommend.
We review all of the blogs manually to see if they fit our quality standards. If you think your blog meets them, email us at ! After that, we'll grab your content automatically.
[edit] Q: Do I need to link to BloggedVideos.com?
Do what you think is best for your visitors. We certainly see these links as a sign of goodwill towards our service, and we may evaluate your blog faster before it gets listed by our system. However, simply linking to us does not guarantee that your blog will be here. Keep in mind that the growth of this website contributes to the growth of the whole community involved here, so we kindly ask you for a link if you think this service is relevant.

No, we have included them here by our own criteria in order to show others how the system works. Believe us when we say that contacting more than 300 bloggers would look "spammy" and would not be practical.

Certainly! Just send us an e-mail at and we'll start the removal procedure. Remember that we are not required to do it immediately as we do not import copyrighted work and as such are not subject to DMCA rules on that subject (read our disclaimer). At BloggedVideos.com we are committed to having blogs contributing to us in a voluntary basis. However, is quite obvious that we needed to do it to build an initial database and, by doing so, prove the system works. We sincerely apologize if you didn't like it.
